im running z71 tires right now, i believe 31's, but i plan on going back to 29-30's after i get my factory 20's. so its not like killing your engine like or burning up the trans or hurting anything running that kind of RPM's at that speed is it? im sure theres some MPG loss too, are we talking 1-5, or 5-10? lol

thats the main issue right there, not whether both tires are gonna lock, but will the lsd break and chew up your brand new gears and bearings. it just makes sense to me to swap in a true trac or eaton posi unit while you have it apart for added durability and insurance. that way you only have to do gears once.

i think im gonna do without the stall, i was hauling a car trailer and truck today, and i kinda realized i do a bit more heavy hauling than i thought. so itll just be the 4.11/4.10 swap.

Rons machineing services gave me a heck of a deal on a set of 4.10's and a valutrac posi for my ccsb. I was running the same setup as you 3.23/g80,I dont regret the purchase.

I think any 278mm converter 3000-3200 would be perfect for you and the 278mm's are still pretty tame. Circle D of course as everyone knows sells 278mm converter for a hard to beat price. Also not everyone knows, but you can get an FTI 278mm converter for a tad cheaper.

Its called the FTI Street Brawler Torque Converter. 3200rpm is $349.99 and 3000rpm is $339.99, 2800rpm is $329.99.

ill keep those written down, i think im gonna hold off on a stall though due to my hauling tendencys. i haul everything from dirt, concrete, car haulers, etc. i actually hauled a f250 about a month ago going to scrap that weighed close to 4 tons ( had ALOT of scrap piled on top of it lol ) not including the trailer. my truck was absolutely struggling with those 3.23s. the 4.11 order has been placed though from rons machining, got a very good deal on the gears and install kit, with free shipping! very happy with the price.
