3.73's will feel better down low yes! Your top end won't feel as powerful...check that it will feel alittle better but not as long lived, kinda like a short burst of speed rather than a longer pull up top than you get from 3.23's. My 4.10's on the top end were over in a blink of an eye...couldn't enjoy the truck that much on the top end...now with the 3.42's it's like I stay in my powerband all day long...never leave it.

With the 3.23's it holds 3rd gear up to about 110mph does anyone with a crew cab or ext. cab and 3.73's plus a tune or programmer hold 3rd gear till.

with 30" tires crusing at 80 mph = 3.73-2400, 3.90-2500, 4.10's-2600 rpms, so tell me where I loose mpg, hell I get 21 to 24 mpg depending on weather. I will be going to 3.23 later this year, because of the hwy runs that people want to do in mexico ah ahaha

There's a few of us runnin 3.90s on here.

I have a chevy work van with 3.23s I love em in that but im sure I would hate them in my truck.

i went from 3.42's to 3.73 and noticed a increase in down low rpm out of hole power .... gas milage hasnt changed to much... until i did my motor swap then city went to 14 and highway went to 18-19 depending on the wind and speed i was going. this is with 20" wheels

1st shifts a little past 45mph
2nd shifts around 85 mph
3rd dont know? i touched 140 at 6k

30 mph and below it will go into 1st and 70 and below it will go into 2nd

im not regreting the change

don't mess around and go with 4.10s, especially since you have 22s

I cant even imagine how bad the low end is with 3.23s and 22s!

Check these calcs out before anything, I had 3.73's stock but with 275/45/20 it went around a 3.42, soo when I changed to a 4.10 gear I got my 3.73 back. If you have 3.23 now and 22's your final drive ratio is a 2.xx. consider that.....
