Default 3/4 drop shocks ?

I've been searching for a while and cant find any shocks for my 04 RCSB, I lowered the suspension abour 3/4.
Is there any companies that make a shock for a lowered 4wd?
Can I use lowering shocks from a 2wd, or would I have to modify them?

Thanks in advance.

Jesse

Cool

A lot of guys with lowered rides seem to like Doetsch Tech Shocks . Give them a call and see what they have for your application.

I see that Summit Racing carry them and usually have pretty good prices.

Cool

I am still running on the stock shocks. I asked McGaughys and Air Ride Technologies about shocks and they both recommended staying with the stock shocks. They seem to work OK to me so I have not bothered to change to anything else.

I'd keep the stock shock on there if the truck didnt act like a pogo stick every time I hit a bump. I checked those links and all they have is shocks for 2wd lowered, and 4wd lifted or stock. NO 4wd lowered. Aw well. Im probly gonna just have to make a lot of phone calls. I was over at Silveradoss.com, and those guys were running into the same problems trying to find a lowering 4wd shock.

Thanks again,

Jesse

Cool

Maybe some of the shocks they design for the 2WD trucks with drops will work on the 4WD trucks as well. How different can they be? The problem finding shocks for 4WD dropped trucks is that not that many people drop 4WD trucks but there seem to be more doing it in the last while. Give Doetsch Tech a call and see if they can help you out.

Maybe you can search some threads on FullSizeChevy under the Street forum. There is a lot of good information there on dropped trucks.

Shocks are always such a personal preferrence that it can make it a tough choice to make and find good information on.

Good Luck
