Default From 3.42 to 4.11

So it's been about 3 days since I swapped out my stock gears to 4.11s. All I can say it's a heck of a difference. I got this done at my job by a gm tech so thanks to him for helping out. We took out on a test drive and there was a guy with a mustang next to us and from the dig the truck pulled really hard and the guy said DAM lmao. Only thing left to do is tune my truck. I was waiting on the tune since I just put headders on last week. I also want to say thank you to Rons for the gears and master install kit. They do hum a little from 25 to about 45 mph but while cruising no hum or nothing.

What brand gears or were they OEM? Cause OEM is 4.10 best I know.

Did u ever do any 0-60 before w/ 3.42s or 1/4 mi testing?

Cause I'd really like to know that, plus if your MPG drop any. Can u get some data on that for me?

Also, what's vehicle & your setup?

I don't remember what brand they were I have the box at work. The best I ran in the 1/8th mile with exhaust, cold air intake and 20s was a 10.17. I don't remember how fast from 0-60. I have a 2009 silverado cc 5.3L wit the 6speed. Headers with full exhaust 3" with magnaflow, CAI, and I'll be tuned wends hopefully. I think city gas mileage went up but not too sure yet I'll keep you posted as progression goes.

Well, you've got the advantage of a newer, more powerful 5.3 to begin w/. & a 6 spd. I wish I had. However, you're sportin more weight. Alot more. Should be interesting.

Haha lol yeah I know. However that tank moves pretty good. I don't know what mod to next doh. I'm debatting on doing my stall or my cam with the DOD delete. I want to do the 212/218 and I read that I should be good without a Tc but that was for a 4 speed. What do you think with my 6speed???

I agree w the OP, a lot of difference going from my 3.23's to 4.11's. I don't know what tire he has, but mine with a 29" tire is 2100 to 2200ish at 60.
