anyone have experiance going from a 3.42 into a 3.90?

Im more concerned about dead stop and crusing 80. With the 3.42's i can lock 2krpm at highway speeds and dont feel like going much higher than that.

i went from 3.42 to 3.90 and loved it. that was with a 27" tire. my current truck has 30" tires and i am going from 3.73 to 4.10. should be done in a week or so.

with a 30" tire, would you prefer the 4.10 over the 3.90?

i belive stock tire size is 31" and i plan on retaining that with my 22"'s

NooB question: I have a G80 w/ 3.42's, do I have to change the carrier to go to 3.73, 3.90, or 4.10?

no you don't have to but it would be wise while your in there to swap out the grenade 80 with an eaton lsd or truetrac.
