Most likely what is happening is that the two little clips that hold the preload on the side bearings are broken. So the preload is always changeing as u drive. I have seen 30+ cases like that here at the shop. It is a common enough problem that gm has redesigned the clips.

I personally am not looking to chop my Escalade up to the point of a solid axle.
Where did the Esclade come from...thought you had a 1500 truck????

Hence your post about fitting a a 2500 diff in a 1500 truck....

Your Esclade isn't AWD???

I thought they all were. The AWD system in the Esclade can take a lot of **** and abuse man.

And for the record, yeah I do know the weight of a 60...I just finished putting one in a mud bogger with 40's

You said you wanted strong....you didn't say light....

Edit:
Actually you got me thinking about that now...This is something I would like to see...an Esclade on 37's with D60 front and 14B rear
Would be really cool.

I will never say can't...I will say unfeasible, or gonna be a PITA...but cant does not exist where there is will and cash

Never really paid too much attention to Escaldes...usually some moron buy's them and throws 24" chromes on them and lambo doors...Very few people will actually do something good with them...I would like to see one done right...I did see your other post where you put the 14B in...thats cool man.

What you making for power in it?
