Not a single person mentioned his 4L80E tranny when recommending gears. You all make baby cry.

4.10's are perfect. Get the PCM tuned.

^^ agree with the above, get it tuned first, and if you are satisfied with that then you saved yourself about 2k by not doing the gears. either way you need to reset your computer so your shift points are correct, its shifting more than it needs to because of that, if you only add gears then your shift points will still be off and you wont be satisfied.

Personally I did the tune, gears, CAI and exhaust. the truck pulled an 8500lb trailer for about 100k of its life and did it without breaking a sweat. The truck is babied, rarely over 2k rpms, but thats more than I need to stay up with/ pass while driving unless im on the highway. im at 142k and the engine/tranny is still stock, never rebuilt and it still drives like new. do it right and you wont regret it

are you sure a 6.0L has a 4L80E. Our crew 04 2500 HD has 4L60E with tow packages and a 6.0L..

Are you positive your 2500HD has a 4L60E? It would be a first in my book. Check in your glove box. Code "M30" means 4L60E, code "M32" means 4L65E, "MT1" means 4L80E, and "MN8" for the 4L85E. Check it out because I am interested in seeing if this is the first CC 2500HD 6.0L with tow package to my knowledge.

There's no way a 2500HD has a 4L60e. That's surely a typo.
