Default 4.10 or 4.56?

I have 3.73 in my truck right now and want to change out the gears. I was thinking of 4.10 cause thats what most people run in there trucks, and to get me better 60's. Would 4.56 just suck, im so my 60's would be killer but would i run out of gears at the end of the track. I am about 4500 ish rpm at the end of the track. I have 285/50/r20, and would like to keep them on with I race other than swapping stock ones one.

the change between 3.73's and 4.10's is minimal at best... if you want a dramatic change, go with the '.56's... if you dont mind losing highway mileage and turning a few more RPM's, it will be fine... around town, you will most likely pick up a few mpg...

I just went from 3.42's to 4.10's and I wont go back... 3.73 will be the highest ratio I will ever run again...

if your going to run the 20" rims and tires at the track go with the 4.56's, you'll be close to 6k at the end, your tire height is close to 32" tall so you will be turning 2400 on the hwy at 75-80 mph.

i agree. I went 4.10's cause I am going to be using a 28" slick at the track, 285/55/20 street, which should make my 4.10 act like a 4.56.

I do not see one listed in your mods, but have considered changing your torque converter? It would be cheaper than changing out 2 sets of ring and pinions.

4.56 gears will have you pulling 2400rpm at 60 mph... Do you really want to use that much gas?

3.73 to 4.10 is a decent step overall and if your truck has some ballz it would be just fine...

Try adding 10mph to that.
Or dropping about 350 RPMs...

I run right around 2k at 70 with 285/50/20 and 3.73, so 2300 ish sounds right to me
