well funny thing..when i was at the dealer fri for the ss i asked them about swaping a factory 4.10 set and labor. the guy told me just for the gears it was like $1300 then labor for just the rear was $6oo somethin .... ima call axist6 next week sometime

Go with AAM gears if they make the ratio that you're looking for, they're OEM and the least prone to noise. I've heard that Richmond made noisy gears, but I can't remember what the Richmonds that I had in my old 71 Camaro sounded like...it was over 20 years ago and I was too young and dumb at the time to even notice lol.

I recommend AAM gears and a Detroit TT also. I did the swap myself. When looking at the front diff. I found a low mile complete front diff on e-bay that I bought for about what it would have cost me in parts to do the front swap actually wound being cheaper considering I sold the old front diff later.
