More or less I believe just getting it to run the gear out instead of shifting into 4th at 20mph.

I would most definitely change it. It is recommended highly by gear companies and most good gear guys will tell you the same. You should definitely feel the difference once you can actually drive it hard and have it shift at the correct rpm with the new tune.

I'd change the oil too. Alot of tiny tiny metal particles will come off the gears after break in. You're basically smashing the metal down during break in, making it harder and harder as the miles rack up. As this happens, you will have little peices of metal coming off the areas where they mesh. You're magnet should get most of the metal out of the oil, but wouldn't you rather spend $20 changing fluid then risking $1000 worth of parts and labor?

I would agree to change it out, but I only had about 2k on the new setup, didn't have a drop of metal on the mag. Not disagreeing with these guys it should be changed, just letting you know that I only changed it at that point due to adding a new cover, other wise me personally would have went a lil longer..

About 5 heat cycles. I only went 3 or so, went out for a long drive, ran it a lil bit, nothing drastic, came back did it two more times, let it eat

Glad to hear that you got the rear done, sorry to hear that you don't feel a big difference, maybe once you get to romp on it you'll feel it more. You should feel better acceleration out of the hole. I'd change the fluid at 500 miles to get rid of the metal particles that collect from the gears breaking in.
