I run the OLD Man Cam and it hits nice off the line with 4.8 converter. I dont want to break the stock rear locker diff but i do think it has mid 13's with tires. Its hard for me to not go there. FWIW i have run approx 140 mph with the 3.73's before any harmonics were felt. The drive around experience is tame with 4 th gear and lockup coming sooner as the main difference. I have still to see how gas mileage will be affected. Oh btw i had to lengthen my shift times on 1-2 and 2-3 shifts with HP tuners to prevent excessive wheel spin at the track on stock type tires. 1-2 would spin as hard as nailing it off the line and not back pedalling lol.
Exactly, Ive decided to keep my 3.73s and add a trutrac LSD. Why. because I know I will be doing some sort of FI in the future STS or TVS, as well as keeping it at tripple digits at times. Im building this truck for touring, tires are rated for 150 or V rating that I have now. I will be making more engine power to even worry about the swap right now. Plus these tires will not effect the vmax if any at all stock. Good to know that no harmonics was felt with the 3.73s at 140. Shifts will be fenesed with my street tune and tuner. I should have plenty of traction to boogy from a dig.

After punching numbers playing with a calculator like above. With the new wheels compared to my stockers, I will actually gain 2 miles per hour for the current rpms. Thats cool. I will post my results when the tune is calibrated for the new tires, as well as the feel. Im going from 30.5 16" to a 31.22 20" which is a difference diameter of 0.72 which aint much on paper, but 2 mph.

My truck is as about aerodynamic as a brick, but it sits lower than a 4wd version. 100 is a stand still in there and comes very quick, feels about 40 in another vehicle. So my plans of 140 seems attainable. On paper thats about 3900 rpms with 3.73 gears, which is pretty low IMO.

AT
1k = 35.5 mph
2k = 71.2 mph
3k = 106.7 mph
6k my redline = 213.5 mph
