I have 4.56's with 275/55/20's. I love the gears. I was debating on going with 4.30's, but am glad I went with 4.56's.

Yes they still pull hard on the top end. Just for comparison, my buddy has a cammed ls3 single cab truck with 3.73 gears, on motor from 65 he starts to pull on me and then around 100 I start pullin him in and catch up to him.

I don't mind them on the street at all. The tall tires help a lot. I love the way they pull at high RPM's.

i wouldnt mind cruising 80 at 2800 rpm. the only reason ide ever jump on the highway is to drive it to work...and maybe a couple highway pulls. haha

I have 4:56s in my 02, mods in sig. It turns 3k at 80 with a 28" tire, and around 2600 at 70. I ran it in the 1/8th and it would shift into 3rd right before I crossed the line shifting at 6500rpm. I absolutely love it on the street and everywhere else for that matter. It needs a looser stall to take advantage of the low end. The top end is really surprising to me. Race my buddies 96 vette from 50-120 and put half a truck on him. We stayed even until my third gear and I pulled away from about 100-120. The top speed at 6500 is right around 120, with a 28" tire I think it is 118. So as long as your not trapping 120 in the quarter you will be fine.
