Default 4.56s help or hurt

what do you guys think? mods in sig just tossing around the idea.i only drive it 10 days a month to work

I dunno, gears aren't a lot of bang for the buck, especially since you already have 4.10s. Looks like you've already got a really stout setup. How about some ported heads and increased compression?

thats what i was thinking but dont wanna invest to ton of money into the 5.3. i would reather invest into a 6.0. im gonna see what a 150 shot does and i guess go from there.

if you do them yourself.. go for it. I could feel a big difference in 4.10s and 4.56s

My rearend guy only charges 100 bucks to swap out the gears. Last time I was at the 1/4 I was in the middle of 3rd. I guess I would have to see where I'm at with the cam and stall. If I were to go with 456s would shifting into 4 gear be bad or is that normal?

Your tune shouldn't let you shift into 4th at WOT. There's better ways to go faster than go to 4.56.

Switching to 4.56 won't put you into 4th gear. It will put you into the end of 3rd, which is what you want anyways. A gear swap is actually very good bang-for-buck. I ran 5.12 gears in my Tracker.

i felt a huge difference swaping to 4:56 gears! you would most likely feel even more with your set-up.
