Default Which 4/6-5/7 kit is best when runnin 17's???

I have a RCSB 5.3 stepside silvy on billet specialties 17x10's in rear and 17x8's in front. I just got rid of my 22's and bought the 17's along with a few nice gain mods for the truck. I have decided to go fast now instead of rollin big wheels. lol. My current tires are 275/50/17's in rear and 255/50/17's in front. I am looking to get either a 4/6 or 5/7 drop. I wanted a mcgaughys kit but i have heard too many bad things about running 17's with their 4/6 kit because in order to do it, you have to trim the ball joint bolt and nut down to clear the rim. I dont want to cut or rig anything, i just want a nice quality bolt on drop kit that will give me no problems. Which kit do you guys suggest? Do you think 5/7 would be too low on a daily driver with 17's? I cant decide between the 4/6 and 5/7. Let me know what you guys think. thanks!!!

DJM makes both kits, 4/6 and 5/7. I would suggest going with a 4/6 for a daily driver. It would be possible to ride around with a 5/7, just in my opinion, it wouldn't be worth having to worry about every little bump. I have a DJM 4/6 on mine and am happy with it.

well a 5/7 would look better IMO. But if you are running 17's, your truck is going to be WAY too low to the ground and you are going to scrape your frame on everything.

I would suggest the 4/6, b/c I still scrape occasionally on my 3/6 with 22's and tires the same diameter as stockers.

Well I like how light the 17's are but Im planning to pick up a set of the 20x8.5 American Racing RT-S wheels in black when i pull some more cash together. Ill still keep the 17's for the track and the 20's for the street probably. It will still be a little while though. Would i have any problems clearing the 20's with a 5/7 if thats what i decide to go with? Its just so damn tempting when i see the 4/6 and 5/7 are the same price and the 5/7 looks so much tighter. But its still a daily driver si i dont know. lol

Thanks for the help so far guys!!!
