My clutch is startin to squeak
When i put my truck in reverse the clutch squeaks as it engages, sometimes when i ease into it goin forward it does it too. It has 114,000 on it, is it time for a new one or is that just a noise?? If a new one is needed, im lookin to go to a 6.0 after the 4.8, so what would be a good one for that. Im hopin to eventually be over 450 with spray. What do yall think.
Thanks,
Derek

stick with a stock clutch if ur gonna stick with the 5-speed. I got an upgraded clutch for mine and the pressure plate that came with it kept collapsing slave cylinders. The stock clutches on these trucks aren't bad until you put a bunch of power to em. If your going for all out performance, T56 swap, but if ur going to drive the truck with no so much power, stay stock, they're good clutches, Hell virgil got 114,000 on his, that's pretty impressive, i replaced mine in december with 72,000 on it b/c it slipped just a little bit and i couldn't handle it, it was still a good clutch for just driving. If you want to try your luck with a bigger clutch, i'll sell you mine, but i suggest getting a stock pressure plate to go with it, PM me if your interested.

The 6.0 will bolt up to the 5 speed and the t56 shifter location is much further back. You have to cut another hole in the floor and remove the center seat. Do a search for retsell, turbo8, 1truess's posts. They all have done the t56 swap in some form or another.
