4L60-80e swap tips?

is this a direct bolt on swap, are the size of the trannys the same length? i have also heard that i will need a stand alone controller for this swap or do i need the tranny reprogrammed in to the pcm.

What year model is the 80e going in? Trannys are different lenghts, and will need to reprograme the PCM, check out SPEED ENGINEERING, they have a full list of parts needed to do the conversion.

As I understand it you need the 6.0 crank spacer from an 01 or higher 6.0, new or modified cross member, new dipstick, new lines, 4L80 file, anything else??
