Default 4L60-80e swap tips?

is this a direct bolt on swap, are the size of the trannys the same length? i have also heard that i will need a stand alone controller for this swap or do i need the tranny reprogrammed in to the pcm.

What year model is the 80e going in? Trannys are different lenghts, and will need to reprograme the PCM, check out SPEED ENGINEERING, they have a full list of parts needed to do the conversion.

ok i lay frame. (bagged) will that crossmember hang lower than the frame?

My conversion member used the stock cross member just with a adapter plate. (did'nt sit any lower, call Sean to be sure.

Did you buy all the stuff from Speed Engineering? Im not sure what I would need to get from them and what I can get from the salvage yard where Im getting my 6.0 and 4L80. Im going to make sure I have all the crap, but Im going to pay someone to install it. I havent heard of any installs that went smoothly.
As I understand it you need the 6.0 crank spacer from an 01 or higher 6.0, new or modified cross member, new dipstick, new lines, 4L80 file, anything else??

Wire harness adapter, and new speed sensor adapter (plugs into ECM). Yes I got everything from Speed.

I assume you also go tyou crossmember from them as well? Do you have a photo or it? I want to modify mine myself but need something to go by. If you could provide me the mesurements that would be great.
