Default 4l60 problem!!

Well guys so I took my truck to the dragstrip for the first time after having 410s and a truetrac installed. I got there and hopped on after driving about an hour to get there and popped off a 14.5@94mph. After that I decided I would let the truck cool down some so I watched a few races for 25 or 30 minutes before going again. Well I got staged went to launch and nothing. Truck would not move forward. So I backed it up thinking that I had destroyed my second 4l60. Only to realize that everything still works so long as I shift manually. What could this be?

If I start in second and then put it in drive it will shift fine. If I put it manually in 1st if engages. And will shift to second when I shift as well.

Yeah that's a bitch. Well. I have my old transmission sitting here. Been saying that I was going to rebuild it. I guess now is the right time to have it done.

I've also Heard something about lower rollers and apparently they break after a rear axle failure. I just had a rear axle failure

It's a very common problem to have damage to both the low roller and the input sprag when having a catastrophic differential failure. The shock generally dimples the races in these components and shortly after a transmission failure occurs.

You just can't buy that kind of knowledge.
