Well, after consulting with my service manual.

It states for the condition of "No Reverse, Fourth gear, and Second Gear"
- Broken Reaction Sunshell

Thats all it says so chances are, the sunshell is a toast...

You should strongly consider a beast shell. We use them in all of our rebuilts and never have a problem with the beast. Give us a call if you need one or if you would like a FLT unit. Vince.

The real problem is that 4L60e's are built from paper mache, with play dough internals, and Oh yea............................THEY SUCK

With the exception of FLT at least.

Holy **** White I thought for second there you were bashing my unit's LOL. Mr 8th mile front wheel burn out BOY!

Mrobinson I would suggest a shift kit along with a beast shell of course. Just make sure that you have a good builder that builds them good n tight otherwise it won't be right. Price it out and give us a call if you have doubts!

I don't want to hijack this thread but now that the 4L60,65, and 70E's have been out for a while, does anybody know specifically what's different about each of them? I was a little concerned about pulling my loaded 7000 lb trailer last week with my ECSB Vortec Max with a 4L65E and 3.73's but I did about 2400 miles with it and some of the freakin hills were long and steep but my truck pulled like crazy without a problem. 1200 miles loaded and back 1200 miles empty in 4 days and averageing 10 miles to the gallon of premium gas!!!! If I ever break this tranny I would like to put in the 4L70E parts but I don't know which of the parts are different. Also would a Nelson tune help me with power and fuel economy??
Thanks
Jim
