thatd be pretty sick man no doubt about that! i got the work truck interior and pulled that non folding middle seat out for the sub...but itd be nice to see a hurst shifter through that floor and a t handle callin my name...n if you call them about the adapter, definitley see what they say reguarding your towing needs, im sure they could build ya somethin that would suit your needs although itd be a little more cash

I think I'm gonna stick with the 4500. It's cheaper, more reliable, I had one in my old Sierra so I know my way around one, and I don't need a crazy fast shifting tranny since I'll be using it to tow the tractor, haul wood, that kind of stuff.

no doubt about it the nv4500 is a great trans, and i was thinking about it going that route or the nv3500 would be the easiest swap since greg can get ya all the gm p#'s used with those trannys from the older trucks or the body styles like ours that came with em. as for the nv4500 im sure youd still be able to hit gears pretty quick with it...with the nv3500 and the stupid big shifter i was still able to bang the hell out of gears

Yeah my '95 could hit 1-2 quick, but that 2-3 was a doozy. The synchro's weren't made to shift that fast in those trannies, but I'm not going to be street racing this thing. I've got a bike if I wanted to go fast

I keep seeing people talk about the nv3500 is weak sauce.....but just how weak is it? And is the t-56 really much stronger, just not suited for towing?

I don't tow with my truck much more than a jet ski or a utility trailer, so no problems with towing performance.

I can get a decent deal on a t-56, and I have seen pretty cheap deals on the 3500......the 4500 seems like quite a bit more is involved than the 3500 since the 3500 came on 4.8s from the factory.....

I have the 4l60e and 4x4 with the manual transfer case now, 4.8 ECSB 4x4.....anything going to stop me from being able to do the t-56/nv3500 easily?
