4L60E Floor shift conversion
I've been checking the forum and other sites about converting from column shifter to floor (1999 new body style, 4L60E). I see a number of PT members have done the conversion, but when I talked with the shift manufacturer's tech about it, I'm told I need a stand-alone transmission controller. (This was from B&M and Lokar) What am I missing?

I've thought about this conversion myself, but haven't researched it yet. I have seen pictures around here from guys who have done it, but I can't remember who . I'd search the entire GM section for "B&M shifter", or "Hurst shifter", or "Floor shifter", or keywords along those lines. Hopefully someone who's done the conversion will see this thread and have the info you need...
