Default 4l60e help

99 Silverado 4x4 5.3 cammed 4l60e
188,000 miles on a orignal trans but it's starting to
Shift hard and skip in 4th.
Of course there is a million 4l60es on Craigslist for sale
So what kinda year range is gonna work 99 to what
and does it need to Be out of another 4x4 truck

To make it super simple on yourself without having to dig inside the transmission itself, you will need another 4x4 unit.

I believe anything from 99-07 should swap in.

Wanna say 06 they started using the input shaft speed sensor in some versions of the 60/65... Not sure how that would affect it in a 99 but.... I would be leary of putting a used trans in without at least going through it!!! But thats just my .02
