Default 4l60e issues

just had my trans built. installed a PI 3800 converter. i had a transgo vaccum module installed, billet servos, high rev springs, all the bells and whistles. well anyways

i was testing the 1-2 shift under spin and next thing i know i heard a loud bang and now grinding and drive is gone have reverse but some noise. put it on lift and it will move rear wheels but not correctly. i can hold it in gear with brakes but speedo moves but nothing esle does and you hear a awful noise

im thinking plantery gears, input shaft or maybe converter

does this sound famliar to anyone who destroyed these trans? truck is about 4500lbs and in the neighborhood of mid 400s to the wheels in HP/TQ. spoke and said the man who built the trans and is known to be a good person and builder said he should stand by his product since it only had less then 100 miles on it.

I would say you either broke the output shaft or the reaction carrier.

i dunno levels, levels dont always mean ****.

i told him my needs and he put in what was need. he spoke of it but so much was added in i cant remember. he knew i was going to be spraying and was planing on being in the neighborhood of mid 500s to the wheels in torque. thats one reason we did the vaccum mod. but im just wondering what actually broke and i guess i wont know till this week if he can get to it. ill see if he can make it a priority if possible to have me on the road asap. not saying its his fault at all.

but maybe having all that pressure for the 1-2 shift wasnt the best. figure billet servo, HD-C with full race springs, 2 shims in accumulator, vaccum mod. and before somone says what was line pressure in the tune. it was set at stock specs

this just goes to show power will always find the weakest link possible

You said that the speedo was reading mph. If that is correct the output shaft is turning but the wheels dont. I would be looking at the diff.

I put a TB stall in my truck...later that night i dropped the hammer at about 30mph and when it went to shift into second i heard a loud bang and alot of grinding...It ended up being my input shaft broke. Now i'm sure it didn't break all the way at first because it was still able to move just under very light pedal. But it did break and tore up the planetary, sunshell and some other crap as well.So now i have a built tranny in there.
