im not talkin about a stock 60 vs a race set up, you cant judge how strong parts are if you see them under different conditions because these is no control. IF you put a stock 60 in a stock truck it would last IF you put a race 60 in a stock truck too it would last. IF you put a stock 60 in a race set up it wouldnt make it down the track IF you put a race 60 in a race set up at least it would get off the line so that seems to me that the parts would be stronger.....

I think the point here is that performance trannys with hardened parts and increased line pressure are able to engage the clutches better under harsh, high hp circumstances, as for a stock set up would slip alot more which would create more heat and destroy the stock set up under the same high hp application. That same agressive behavior however can shorten the life of the performance tranny, even under normal driving conditions, that were designed to save it from harsh driving conditions. I think the key here is not to have the shifts set up so firm that it unneccesarily causes stress on even the hardened parts, but just enough to allow the hardened parts to do their job when needed. My last built one would chirp 2nd gear on certain types of pavements under normal throttle, that is how hard it was set to shift, and I think that could have had a lot to do with its short life. Sometime before I get my built one from FLT, Im gonna talk to them and see what their take is on this. I also had TM completly removed when I got the VCM mail order tune, and may be having it retuned based on what their take is on that as well.

So i went to Morris Transmissions off of Choctaw in B.R.
He built it for 700hp for $1724.00 plus tax....
Then he gave me the warrenty that i stated before.
Great guy and does very good work.I'd recommend him to anybody.

sounds good a number or email....i would like to put in the built trans before my stock goes out....i think its gonna crack once i put the new cam in anyways
