Whats the rest of the story? How many 60e's have you been through and who has been rebuilding them? the 3-4 clutch pack is VERY picky during high rpm performance builds...Mine is doing great but I rebuilt mine with all of my own tricks and its been treating me well with 2 years of service and a 3600 stall.....

you say no 3rd gear, but you made it home in thrid? slipping?

You weren't getting any responses in the classifieds section, so I moved your thread.

Check out the stickies in this section. Lots of good info here. Start with this thread, it should answer most of your questions.

Put a 4l80e in. It will handle the abuse. I broke the teeth off that holds the c clamp in on the input drum. Lost 3 and 4th gears.

Did you leave the gear selector in drive? Or move it down to 3rd?

Don't do burn outs or go wot in drive. Move the selector to at least 3rd. Not sure what all happens but it applies another drum or something. Makes it alitte happier. Lol. Hope you get it back on the road soon. I was down for about 2 months when mine went. But that's because I could only work on it 1-2 hours at a time
