Default 4L60E & Transfer Case

I have a 2005 Chevy Avalanche 4x4 6.0L LQ4 engine, transmission and transfer case. I want to put this in an older 2 wheel drive GMC truck and need to know what can be done to remove the transfer case and add a tail section on the 4L60E that will convert it to a "normal" transmission without the transfer case. Can someone point me in the right direction for information and pricing?

To change it to a 2 wheel drive tranny, you have to change the out put shaft, which requires you to take all the guts out of the trans and then put a 2 wheel drive tail housing on it. You probable be better off to find someone with a tranny for a 2 wheel drive and swap them.

Unless you are going to build you tranny up, do it then.

Take it to a local trans shop and have them convert it.

Default transmission -transfer case

i put a 6.0 with a 4wd trans out a 2002 truck in a 68 pick up truck, because it was a low budget project, i just let the transfer case on and drive like that for a long time with no problems,(like driving in 2hi) now im puting that drive train in a 72 blazer 4wd, but a dont know if you have enough room for the transfer case.
