if you want to do it yourself this may be tricky but the boost valve in the pump assy. is a good upgrade. not sure if the shift kit has one. thats all i used was a boost valve and vette servo when i built mine really and chirp the ...tire...... when i shift to second.

The billet is supposed to have more surface area than the corvette and if I'm going through the work to change out parts, I'll pay the extra "up front cost" and be done.
I don't want to do anything that I have to pull the tranny out of the truck. I can do valve body/external stuff but I'll leave internal things till I do a converter (later).
Whats the deal with the accumulator pistons (something about being plastic)?

the boost valve can be changed with the valve body off. the accumolators are plastic but wont burt anything. im a manager of a transmission shop and used to build and never see em break. i also put an accumolator kit in mine. (different springs) and that helped some too. theres a million things you can do to em.

You don't even need to pull the seperator plate to get to the 2nd accumulator. You obviously need to pull the VB and plate for the drilling, springs and access to the 4th accumulator though. Also replace the fwd accumulator with a alum one and new oring if desired.

your right, you don't have to pull the seperator plate just to do the 1-2 accumulator. since he's already doing a transgo plate that means the 1-2 accumulator housing will have to be removed anyway. i should have worded it alittle better
