@N/ALS when I had my tans built here in houston locally on my last truck, I bought my parts at ptp transmission and on ebay.
In the end I could have just did the 80e swap with a FLT trans and have some type of waranty. I had too much problems with mine, it died 2 times and after the 3rd time in 2 months i sold the daang truck. I had a valve body issue and that was killing my clutches. It died due to me not tunning the truck

I don't really know any "tranny" guys that work at a dealership that actually "build" versus just swapping a complete unit.
This way the parts & labor can be warrantied as nothing was "modified".
I'd find a second opinion but that's just me. You may want to let us know what you're trying to achieve as well as the main usage of your truck.
