@N/ALS when I had my tans built here in houston locally on my last truck, I bought my parts at ptp transmission and on ebay.

In the end I could have just did the 80e swap with a FLT trans and have some type of waranty. I had too much problems with mine, it died 2 times and after the 3rd time in 2 months i sold the daang truck. I had a valve body issue and that was killing my clutches. It died due to me not tunning the truck

@ Pasadenaman- you sound familiar, I had a friend in college do te same thing. But he had a guy he worked with rebuild it. What's your name?

Most dealers have trans guys, warranty is why we replace complete units. If say your reverse goes out and we pulled it and fixed it, total comes out to like $1500. The replaced parts get a 12 month warranty. next week your 2nd goes out, again $1500. Now we have an unhappy customer. Or for $2200 on the intial visit we could have hung a SRTA in it and gave it a 3yr/100k warranty.
