4l60e Upgrades?
want to beef up the tranny for a little more insurance against it going out
dont really wanna upgrade to the 80e yet just looking for some upgrades
been looking at oregon performance transmissions
im considering a stage 2 shift kit and a tru-cool 40k transmission cooler
im undecided though on the corvette servo....should i get that servo or the superior 2nd gear super servo?
is the super servo a better version of the regular corvette servo?
any ideas or opinions on any other upgrades would be great!

get the vette servo and the transgo shift kit. I'd also recommend the sonax super hold 4th gear servo. Those two servos and the shift kit will help alot!
I have the vette servo just not gotten it installed yet

What I Did.
See my truck setup in my sig. If you push lots more weight or have lots more HP you may want to go another route.
Found a trans builder who knows how to bring a 4l60e to 4l65e specs. Or if you know how to build get the parts.
Then add GM's better sun-shell.
Then replace all the frictions with better aftermarket pieces from say Borg Warner and wider bands.
Put all this into play with the Sonnax Performance Pack and both of their super hold servos.
Be happy with a stronger tight shifting trans.
Try searching post under my user name to get some details. I absolutely love this setup.

My 1st gear thrust bearing went out @ 44k on the stock trans. I had the blower on since 5k. The trans shop told me the bearing failure was common and not to relate it to the blower.
I had him bring it to 4l65e specs with a better sun-shell and aftermarket frictions and the Sonnax stuff for $2k out the door.
I beat on the truck every time I get in it. How much more than the near 400hp it can handle I don't know. I'm sure I have a safe cushion.
