4l60E vs 4l80e
#21
good info around here, my 60e has held up wonders and not only mine but i can name atleast 5 that have from the same builder.... back a couple years the 80e was undestroyable, and now i see alot of threads with issues with the 80e? so is it really what everyone says? ive seen plenty of turbo's, strokers here in town still running with the 60e and holding up good..
it would definately be a hard choice for me to swap a 80e, as well as mine been holding, i would mind building the 60e again and NOT loose any lowend...

The design in general of an 80E is meant for harder use.. Just look at the two side by side... But there are compromises for the strength
A defensive lineman, usually can't run the same 40 as a reciever, but will take a hit MUCH better but with any rule, there are exceptions..

Well looks like ill just have to put my wideout on steriods! Lol.
Good info guys.. I think ill just stick with a build 4l60E. They have been good to be and i like the gearing much better than say compared to a 700r or turbo 350.
