4l65 weak points?

Full weight and High HP the complete 4L6X is a weak point.
Just letting you know most will state anyone looking for a reliable trans in a 4-5K lb truck with over 450RWHP will be told to just go 4L80 or plan on chasing your trail.
My truck is not high hp, but is full weight and it is the only item I worry about due to past experiences in my Camaro. Was either (4 or 5) 4L60e's that it ate up with the last three being well known builders. It was 4th gen daily driven and beaten on weighing 3400lbs with 480-500rwhp depending on the combo it had during its lifespan.

Thank so for the info. I'm about ready to just pull the trigger on a 4l80 swap but being SSS and awd, finding an affordable 80 to build and also a time2kill shaft swap was holding me up.

An 80e can definitely take more power and in the long run, comes out more affordable.
But, playing devils advocate, my RPM level 7 has taken anything I can throw at it, including a Whipple making double digit boost.
