If i was to have to build my trans again which im sure i will, eventually its getting sonnax input drum and a billet output shaft.... At thsi point if i do have to rebuild it hopefully it will be because i did something stupid and f'd it up not because something failed internally!!!

That's what I thinking, It should live if I don't do anything stupid. I was basing building the trans like a RPM lvl VI and they're using the sleeve.

What about 2-4 bands? Raybestos pro series any good? I need to replace the reverse input drum due to wear and heat spots so should I go for a wide band?

Wide high energy band, on a new reverse input drum.... If you dont have one already look into a vette servo, they can be had off of amazon for about $11!!! Definitely worth the upgrade.... And after seeing the transgo hd2 and sonnax performance pack side by side, i honestly like the sonnax kit better, with the transgo cs-7 spring kit....

Does it matter who makes the vette servo? Aftermarket just as good as OE?

I have the $11 servo from amazon in mine.... Sonnax makes a version of it but they wanted a small fortune for it....

If you can find the OE vette servo go for it, stay away from the TCI 2-4, had nothing but issues with their servos, also the "cheap" knock off servos are hit/miss with the quality control and fitment. And yes a wide band is a major Improvement over the stock band.
