was that on a 29" tire? what was top speed, and what RPM was that at? i need to figure out a gear ratio for my car, but i'm on a 33" tire at 3200ish lbs (guestimate)

im probably going to 4.56s when my 80 goes in. i originally planned to keep the 3.73s and get a 28" tire but it doesnt look like im going to be able to get anything less than 31-33" tires to fit the rest of the combo.

If it's still an 8.6" 10-bolt I wouldn't go any more than 4.10:1 in it. The pinion gear is SO tiny in a 4:56:1 set for that rear end, the lower the gear the less the tooth contact and more inherently weak it all gets.
