I was reading whit's comment and thought the same thing! He could roast em in 3.23's LOL

This is all hiway
With the 5.3 and the 4l60e I got the best 16-17, (I got 19 once but I was having MAF problems that may have been leaning out the engine)
the 6.0 and 4l80e this last weekend I got 14.9mpg @ 75 mph.
At 75mph rpms were at 2600-2800, but my speedo my be off a little.
In town I get 12 mpg, but The pedal sees the carpet a HOLE LOT!

You said that you were a 4wd. If you ever want to use it again make sure that you swap your front gears too. If you dont you will have a mess in short order

Also if you have the auto track I would be doing the front and the rear at the same time, unless you can pull the front shaft. I'm not sure it will hurt anything, but I wouldn't drive the truck in "auto"

I will be getting both front and rear done tomorrow. Did a final calculation with the 4.11s looks like in OD it will be 18% more RPM. Thats OK, Ist gear is 10 less rpm 2nd is same as before and 3rd is 10% more RPM. So in the end it is worth doing. I will not be getting a 402 like Whitt1.

Well after 5 years with those 4.11s, I blew up the rear end and now have gone back to 3.73s. Since 2006, I have upgraded blowers to the 2.8 litre, gone to 90mm Throttle body, added and air to air intercooler plus long tubes. My opinion after having both sets of gears is that the 4.11s were getting dangerous as the power levels started to increase with each mod. The tires were breaking loose too easily even on the highway. The 3.73's seem more suitable for higher HP engines and are more enjoyable now. I was also running out of gears on the highway.

I have had both 4.10s and 3.73s with my 370 and maggie of some sort. I found the freeway (70mph) cruising RPMs with the 4.10s was a bit too high and it was quite a handful down low. I am very happy with the 3.73s...plenty of low end and a good highway RPM. My rear tires are 295/45/20 (30.5"). I run a 28" at the track...which is like running a 3.90 so it all works out.
