4L80 Questions after searching
I'm doing the swap in two weeks and I have a few questions: (I DID SEARCH)
This will be backing a LQ9 6.0 L92/L76 with a Comp 228/232 .595/.595 112LSA and full bolt ons
1) I need the part # of the U-Joint from the Speed Engineering Conversion Yolk to my stock 60 driveshaft, a # from pep boys or napa will be great.
2) Can I see someones shift tables for a shift kit 80 with hptuners. I would just like to get a good start on things.
3) I have the dipstick tube for the 80, but do I use the 60 dipstick itself?
4) What kind of RPM's can I safely throw at a stock 80 with a shift kit? I'm thinking of around 6750-7000, Is this OK for an 80?
Thanks guys

you can't just use the shift points from a 80e tune. you have to have somebody reconfig your tune.taking out the 60e segment and putting in the 80e segment. check out hptuners web site and talk with "ec tune" and see if he will help you out. he's a busy man over there but he set up my tune for me. all i have to do is load it when i get the 383 and 4l80e swap done.

The 4l80e is a just a turbo 400 with overdive and electronic control. Some of the parts ar idincall between the two trannys. SO I think it can handle those RPMS, besides f body cars are spinning the wonderfull 60 up there so ......
YOu DON"T need to do segment swaps to get an 80e, just start with a 80e file and copy over you engine tables..
