I can't see how radix/4l80e would be beneficial. The radix is limited on power output and I have heard that the 80 takes up some power. Why not go with a built 65e? I guess if you have an 80, you don't have to worry about anything. I am torn myself on which way to go with the truck???

If you are planning to be above 600rwhp then the 80E is worth while. Im about 100rwhp away and have big plans to do a 402 eventually. so I've played it safe. If the 65 was reliable I would have done it in a heartbeat. However, Ive seen too many stories of people on their 6th 4L60 or 4L65. Over time it will become more of a "glad I did it"

I was only putting down 365 rwhp/410 rwtq too. My tranny builder might not have known what he was doing, but I was breaking hard parts either way.

FYI, although the 80e is far better than the 60, it isn't completely bullet proof. I have smoked clutches in 2 of them, burnt up a top of the line Yank, a triple disk Precision, and broke an input shaft. Granted, that was with stock parts, now its been beefed so I don't anticipate any more troubles.

Any advice for longevity?
