Bump for the new year!
Tax return will be coming soon and looking to get the truck fixed up for the year.
Anyone have experiance with PATC and if their converters are more efficent
That would be sweet if they really are designed better then the factory 13"
Thanks for opinions!!

Call up Dave at Yank and see what he says about towing capacity with the PT2800 MD. That's the tightest multi-disc he makes. He has more clutch surface than the stock unit for holding while locked, but it will also give you a decent performance gain.
Its a 10.5" converter, so it will feel looser while towing. I'm not saying that this is definitely the route I would go, but its something to look into. If he seems to think that it won't be any good then I think the stock converter will be your best friend. I can tell you one thing though... you'd love the truck a hell of a lot more while you aren't towing. The problem with this unit is going to be the heat it will create while unlocked and towing.

I have had Ryne (Cunningham Motorsports) tune the truck and he has firmed ups the shifts already. Is this any different then the shift kit would do?

It is different. The shift kit will increase volume of fluid moved between shifts. It becomes easier on all the parts involved and I think you will find more consistent shifting. It will increase holding power of the transmission more so than tuning alone.
With the way you use the truck I think its money well spent.
