Default 4l80e in a 2009 colorado 5.3

i have a 2009 5.3 Colorado an i plane on turbo charging it . i have read on what it takes to put a 4l80e in a truck (change trans mount hook up , redo drive shaft, and change the plug wires around ) no problem there .
the thing is it has a 67 ecm and a 42 tcm and i read you have to do a segment swap with the same controller op system.
with that being said dose anyone know if the new trucks use what i need to make the program swap or not .
thanks
donald

Sorry that was kinda random, I was wondering why you were so apt to jump straight to an 80e? I cant help with that seg swap question

Here's a bump for ya but part of the reason so many jump to an 80e is because these trucks are heavy. Weight plus power is really hard on the trans.
With something as light as the colorado a good FLT or Performabuilt 4l60 should go a really really long way.

just something to consider since an 80e swap is more work.

As stated. Free Bump. Hope someone knows the answer.

well in a way you are right i dose take a little more work but the inserance is worth it
custom cross member (no problem can make that myself , got tig welder mig welder plasma cutter, and access to a machine shop)
new drive shaft ( got to get one made anyway to handle the power)
torque converter (need to buy one anyway)
cost of trans not much different in that case .
just takes the labor to do it and hell that keeps me out of trouble . lol
