so uh, since you've done this before and I havent, how bout you tell me how to get that next part out? IT won't pull out by hand. Am I supposed to tap it out from behind via holes in the case somehow? I could barely get on it from behind via those little holes in the case even if I wanted to...

There is a bolt in the valve body on the case thats gotta come out

got the rest apart. There is mild surface rust on a couple of the parts but I think this one is fully rebuildable. Hell it probably would have worked as-is with a couple of fluid flushes.

It looks like there is a lot of rust inside that unit. I would be worried about the parts where seals ride and also anything with bearings like the planets. I would probably look for another unit that has a broken case and transfer the parts to the case you have. Make sure that the bores where seals ride are not pitted. The valve body probably has pitted valves in it and I'm sure the pump is not good either. Good luck with your project. If your ever in Chicago I'll give you a $100 for the case if usable. Vince
