Default 4l80e Build thread - 06 Silverado 1500 crew cab install

I got a 6.0 a long time ago and hit the pause button on building it until i found a good 4l80e to build.

Well its finally here and time to start building. I'm going to drop in the 6.0 and the 4l80e at the same time. I have read through almost everyones build and swap threads and i feel like im up to the task.

It would be awesome if yall could chime in on parts that should be replaced and improved. I have know interest in going to the track or tearing up mud holes. I just drive a super clean lifted truck with 35s and 4.56 gears and have done the 14 bolt swap a while back.

I want to accomplish making my truck very reliable and tow as good as the newer half tons or better. Trying to pull a boat or camper or even a rzr behind my truck is just shitty feeling. With all that being said i feel like i would be more than happy with a 100% factory 6.0 and 4l80e but while im in there what should i change?

Thanks

I m going through this right now. I didn't do any hard part upgrades for my first build but I will with the 80e I'm pulling out of my truck. You're going to have a ton of fun!

Any suggestions on what brand of rebuild kit to buy or who to buy it from.
