I meant to ask what was the size of your tires, they definitely look short n the vid. Mine are 31.2 with 4.10's and I wouldn't say my first gear sucks (noticable I guess), at least it doesn't feel horrible. I was driving The Breeze's truck and you certainly notice the shorter blast to 5Krpm, but I don't think if your making good power that mod would benefit ya much. Especially if you had turbo(s).

Guess I'm still old school when it comes to this tipic. In the day you always put as much gearing to the Hotrod that you could stand and could hook. Torque moves mass out of the hole. Not HP.

I personally would not even consider a 4l80e without doing the 1st gear change. Your ride is a few hundred pound heavier than most and has 4wd.
