4l80e problems after converter swap
So I decide to pull my 3800 circle d for a restall. Thought I'd put the stocker back in so it wouldn't be down. Trans never been the same since. 1-2 shifts were slow, and now every time I switch gears are come to a stop it won't pull. Kill the truck and start it and it pulls till the next stop. Stock 80 with a hd2 kit. Been beating on it for close to a year. Working fine till I swapped converter.
Ohm the force motor it's at 4.8
Trans pressure falls on the first shift. And goes up and down around 20-40 psi
I'm lost so if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

If your line pressure is dropping that low and shifts are weak and sluggish then i would auit running it until you figure out whats going on.. Your going to kill your clutches quick with it acting like that.

If I unplug the main harness and replug it it holds pressures till I clear the codes. It was a quart low and fluid and nothing changes. Once I cycle the key I can take off and hit all the gears and it pulls fine till I let off and then it loses pressure

it had fluid in it... hmmm. I was just thinking that you pulled more than a quart out with that circle D, and the stocker will hold more. I'd give the fluid level another check and try over filling it by a hair... in stock form the dip stick tends to hang a tad low causing a slight under fill. With a performance application we tend to move more fluid and slosh what is still in the pan more making us much more prone to sucking the pan dry and losing hydraulic pressure.

I'm going to change all the solenoid and try that with a new filter and fluid pcs was a little out of range so hopefully that fixes it. If not I guess I pull and tear it apart
