if its 2wd no need to measure. I have a 2-4 drop on a 2wd and it doesn't have a body lift....but it does have a 4l80

Mine fit great and the 2wd shaft bolted right up. Awd will need new shafts.
Dont let that stop you because the 80e just feels so much better.

I had my swap done on saturday, and had to wait til monday for shafts to be done. Just make sure you have everything for the swap ahead of time, and it will go smooth.

Get everything on the KYSilverado list, I used that write-up alot for refrence to do my swap. There is a list in post #25 with part#s for the tranny lines on the list, I just wrote this down, and went to the dealership. I still forgot the trans to transfer case adapter though, even though it is the first thing on the list.

I didn't need the flywheel w/ spacer, because I got a torque conveter with the 3 bolt patern like he did,and the heat shield thing didn't aply to mine, but everything thing else was spot on.

Glad everyone is finding the swap thread useful. Put a lot of work into that.
