Default 4l80e swappers come on in

I'm getting ready to do my 80e swap. I have the wiring down, and the rest of the conversion stuff handled. My question is what are you guys doing for dip stick tubes and dipsticks? Are you using the 60e stuff or running this GM 15832205 part. If so does anyone have the part number for the dipstick

Thanks

15183801 - Dipstick
15832205 - Tube

Some have said the dipsticks themselves are the same between 60e/80e but I cannot confirm nor deny that. But thats the part number of the one I used when I did my 80e swap. The tube part number you have is correct.

I just installed mine. Stock 2500HD 4L80E tube fit great. Holding the old dipstick itself next to the new one, they are indeed the same.

How did it go? Mine went pretty dam good. Had one hang up. When I pinned for the VSS it didn't have a good connection and was shifting hard and sending a false "Trans Hot" warning. So If that issue comes up check that first thing. My Diablo I2 wasn't picking up the vss code if I remember correctly or it was in the mail because it took a crap on me then I bought HPT and it helped me figure the problem out. It's got a Circle D 2800 stall. It runs out well, I'm getting some TC drain back after sitting all night. Hoping that's all it is and if it's more, that it takes a beating through October as the snow flys here in WI. That's when she gets parked for 5 months of tweaking things and more building! The only upside to winter because working on your ride during summer sucks!

Has anyone swapped 60e/80e and used the 60's dipstick and tube? If so are the fluid readings correct

Here ya go the broken dipstick is from the 80e the yellow dipstick is from my 60e, currently running the 60e stick In my 80e hole so 60e sick would read about half the crosshatch section low compared to the proper dipstick

Looks like I didn't save the other 2 pics ****. They were lined up from bottom of handle/plug to be flushed out. So the 80 is slightly longer & it's the one on the bottom.
