Yeah I been thinking about a twin turbo LS7 with a 6-speed Allison behind it.

When I get back in, the plan to get it figured out. Hope it's as simple as swapping the manifold pressure switch or harness.

i found ac deco internal harnesses for 90 bucks btw. don't know if cheaper somewhere else but let me know. i didn't fix it yet i just don't drive it far. mine will show trans hot and i can grab the cooler lines and hold them lol.

also mine starts off shown its over 100 degrees even after sitting all night.
From searching the forums, and what I've been told by members & friends. It could be the following.

Manifold pressure switch. (I'll try this first)
Harness.
Torque converter not fully locking up. ( I'll check & recheck tonight)
Maybe even the valve body.

The temp sensor is apart of the harness not the manifold switch.

Yes, That's what I've been told, was told by a service tech @ gm it's more then likely the pressure switch.

Please ask the service tech how a pressure switch that does not have the TOT sender going to effect transmission temperature. If this were a 4l60E I would understand him saying this but not on an 80E.

im gonna go with vince

so who's gonna buy a harness first, me or you lol.

if my lop y pipe would come apart easier i wouldn't care. but taken it off and putting it back on under the truck in a driveway sucks. all while working aroun a jack holding the trans up since i gotta drop the crossmember

Really seems like I can't get a straight answer. But after doing some more reading it seems like it very well could be the wiring harness. So I'll do that first & I let you know how it goes. I found a place that has them cheaper then what you found. Pm me for details. I be going to the dealer for my harness.
