so... i had perfectly fine 4l65e. did a trans swap. and possible tore a wire up in the process? I'm so tempted to just get the harness from a 2500 with 6.080e. now i have to return this internal harness that just came in

If I could find out which wire it is at the PCM I'll check it. I don't wanna waste a credit revinning my PCM to maybe fix the problem. Would the wire @ the trans be the same color as @ the PCM?

Badass you dbw or dbc?

dew everything is perfect. it just doesn't read temp right. and when it says trans hot it drives weird and locks and unlocks and shifts way harder cause it thinks the fluid is getting thin from being hot.

this bothers me so bad i sometimes wanna swap a 65 back in it and be done.

Have you checked yours with a laser heat gun? Mine just shows hot but doesn't change how it acts.. It still acts normal.

I bought a piece of clear hose. Put it on the pressure side to the cooler ( so I could see the fluid) hose filled up fast & got warm quick. Kill the truck & put the clear hose on the return side of the cooler. Didn't fill up & had air bubbles in the line. So I was like I'm on to something. Got a rubber hose & went from cooler to clear jug & it filled it pretty fast. So I tried to blow threw the return line back to trans & couldn't ( with mouth) so I removed line from trans & was able to blow threw it with mouth. Put the fitting out the trans & it didn't have anything blocking it so I got the air blower & blew threw the line & trans return with compressed air. Put it all back together & same ****. Went bought a heat gun & now I know it's not getting hot. Once my gauge is @ 250 I can feel heat in the lines & hoses on the feed side. So cooler is working just gauge is being stupid.

yeah mine will say trans hot and i can grab the lines.

like i said i hooked a snap on modi us up to it and drove around. it read 155 or so most the drive. went up to 170 sitting and such.

i ended up not driving it far enough for the gauge to read wrong. but i don't understand why yours doesn't act weird when it goes into the factory transmission hot limp mode.

I've also though about making it a manual valve bodie and forgetting about all of it. i really have no problem in shifting where i go. and found a sweet set up for a shifter in my center console

For a temporary solution, just copy your normal shift/lockup tables to the hot tables. Or max out the temp it changes to the hot tables. Then at least it won't shift weird.

my tuner did that on last tune. and either way once it goes into hot mode it does still drive normal but it locks and unlocks every 3 seconds.

Well I tried another PCM same ole ****.. I had a guy search gm data base for this problem & he came up with nothing. So I might just get him to enter the problem in data base & see if some else can figure it out.

Seems kinda hard to believe, but it seems like the new sensor is bad.. We checked the ohms & a given temp @ a certain ohm is about 40 off from the gun.. Badass can you check the ohms on your new harness @ room temp for me..
