4l80e yoke selection
I have read through the stickies and have found no answer yet.
I have a 2003 rclb had the 60 swapped in a 80 from a 2ton chipper truck, it had a drum brake on the tailshaft and was a fixed yoke.
I had a Trans shop put a different tail housing and output shaft in along with a Trans go hd2 shift kit.
Here I where I am meow;
There is a spot for a o-ring but it tapers too soon to be of any use. The splined area measures around 5.125"
The O.D. Needs to be about 1.875" for the bushing in the tail housing

I ran a 4l80e yoke that i think was 6" long. I took and cut 1" off of that to make where it didnt bottom out on trans output shaft. The yoke takes a 1350 u-joint. Cant remeber the part number. Conversion u-joint or somethin. Worked great for me? U need 1" of play in the drive shaft before it bottoms out. For rear end movement. I think i baught my yoke off ebay.
Seems like alot but its not that bad. Search it! Plenty of threads on this subject.

I have found a yoke that is fully splined but is about 1.5" shy of the end of the splines bottoming out. I wa under the impression to have it no more than a inch like mentioned above.
If that's the case I need to get a longer one and cut it down. So I looking for the part number of the longer yoke that is fully splined that I can chop down!
