Default 4WD ECSB 4L80E Conversion Questions

Yes, I did a search and found some very useful information... However, I still have a few questions.

From what I've gathered, I will need:

4L80E 4WD Transmission (Specific year differences?)
Bell Housing Cover
New torque converter (6 bolt)
Dipstick tube
4L80E Flex plate
The wiring mod
4L80E segment swap for PCM
New crossmember
New transmission cooler lines
Flex plate spacer

Anything I'm missing? What can I expect on cost for the entire swap? I will be doing it myself with the truck on a lift. Will the 4WD from my 4L60E swap right over or do I need anything for that conversion? What size stall converter should I go for? I do use the truck to tow, but not very often. How well/badly will a stock 4L80E hold up to a turbo? Is the HD2 Shiftkit worth the money or should I not bother with it? I know very little about transmissions and this swap, so please... educate me.

Thanks in advance.

what I've gathered from the how to on LS1truck is u only need 2 wires.. I guess they're for the VSS, since the 80e has 2 sensors. The lines you only need to extend the "back line" as it was put on that write up. So whichever one doesnt fit will need to be extended a couple of inches. As for the crossbrace I would fab it up. However Speed Eng has one for sale. And the transfer case I dont know anything about

the 4l80e flex plate SHOULD have the spacer all ready, 01-02 and up are good, 05 and up are the best, but nothing wrong with 96 and up....

What am I looking at for cost after everything is said and done? I'm going to try and find a used 4L80E instead of picking up a built unit. Can't spend that type of cash right now.

Any where from 1500 to 4000 depending on how much you can do, what kind of deals you find and what converter you go with.

If I do the swap I will be using the stock converter for a while. I may just get rid of the 4WD completely and try to sell some of that stuff and get rid of some weight while I'm at it.

Gonna need drive shafts.

If you go through my thread I have what I paid for everything less a few miscellaneous gaskets.... haven't even totaled it up myself yet. Roughly $2500 with a grand in a PI converter and maybe another $500 for a custom rear drive shaft.
