It will turn out to be the Sensor in the encoder motor. You can change the switch a hundred times and it'll work for a while but it will always go back to fail unless you change the sensor in the Transfer Case shift motor....dealers call it the Transfer Case Actuator.
The sensor part# you need is 88962315 and you'll also need the Actuator seal pant # 12384990.
Around $96.00 for the sensor. Most dealers stock it. I've done plenty of these operations. Trust me.

No problem bro,....just keep in mind that 4 years ago, the quick fix at all dealerships and garages was to replace the difital/analog switch which worked fine....for awhile. Now after a few years of research, GM has decided to produce a tech bulletin advising us that the position sensor i the actuator was the culprit. Some switches were bad...but keep in mind that if yours ever **** out again....replace the sensor and you'll be golden.

I would pull the switch apart so you can visually see the problem if it is indeed the switch. It's faster to fix it than it is to drive to the dealership.
