I have a 3k TCI in my ext cab z71, for 400 bucks its taken a hell of a beating and has been driven everyday for the past year.
At one point I didnt have a fan shroud and drove the entire summer with it getting hot as hell and tranny temps getting around 200. No problems.
It does have a "loose" feeling to it but that isnt always a bad thing. I think stalls in heavier vehicles tend to feel looser than in lighter ones.

I don't know about the ART CARR clutches, but I was told (by a tech from art carr) not to tow with P.O.S , and if I have to tow do it in thrid with the converter unlocked. I for-see great gas mileage with that tip. lol
So out come the trans AGAIN!

thanks everyone.. im use to the loose feeling cause i have a vig2600 in my car.. I just didnt want to loose.
if i can find a fuddle or yank 2600-3000 cheap enough ill get one of those.. but the TB is looking like the better bang for tha buck

i definately want the tb stall , for the performance and cost , and also cause i already have my tranny out at the moment, i was just makin sure that it wont hurt my towing, what about offroad?? with 35's? bad idea??
