Default 500+rwhp Reliable Rear end?

Been away for long time...took the Avv out of mothballs (literally) and beginning the process of getting the mice moved out and fix all the nagging issues.
In particular, I had gone through 3 rear end rebuilds. So in past 5yrs, what have you guys come up ti make the 10bolt capable of big power?
Thanks for any opinions and ideas!

I've never had a problem with a factory rear with a tru-trac thrown in.

02-06 Hummer 14 bolt. Strongest semi float rear end I could find. It will also fit an Avalanche with almost no modifications (gotta reposition the shock mounts) aside from 8 lugs and needing a Spicer/Moog 1350 U-joint. The e-locker leaves a little to be desired, particularly because you can't lock it while spinning and expect the locking pins to survive (really long capture surface will let the pins get snapped off)

To make it live, find it a new owner and replace it with a 14 bolt.

The money spent building one up and hoping it lives could be better spent on replacing it with a 14 bolt. You have already been through 3...

I cant remember exactly what changes over to the AVY but I believe cadillac's had a 14 bolt that would bolt in and there was a version of AVY that had the 9.5 14 bolt in it.

There was member GoatChs that went through this. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...r-swap-425023/

Dr.X had one custom made for his AVY.

Its been a while, but it kept tearing teeth off both the ring and the pinion. I think the last piece I put in was an Auburn gear, had dealt with Randy's as well for his suggestions back in 2010.

I guess I was hoping to avoid having to put a whole new rear end on it. 5yrs ago, it seemed the only option was the 2500 14bolt and having wider rear end. My biggest hope was that someone had come up with a combination that could take the big HP/wght inside a 10bolt package. As I do the rebuild the plan might be to add power and head towards 700rwhp...but only if the d-train can hold up.

in your three rebuilds were they just stock rebuilds or did you do things like a rear cover girdle?
